LJPT Fitness Retreats

Launched in 2016, with the first retreat being held in Dubai, and now in 2017 there already having been a Norfolk retreat as well as a second trip to Dubai planned in November, LJPT Fitness Retreats are going from strength to strength.

A concept that is aimed at pushing you out of your comfort zone, both physically and mentally.
An intense training itinerary is set out for you, all meals are home prepared and cooked to suit you and your needs (as well as taking into account any dietary requirements) and you are left with a huge sense of achievement and pride upon completion of the retreat.

Always staying in luxurious accommodation which is ideal for relaxing in during free time these retreats really are suited for all. Whether it's to give you that motivation and focus you need if just starting out on your fitness journey or to be pushed to your limits for those more experienced fitness fanatics.

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions form the basis of the contract between you and Lee Jessey Personal Training Fitness Retreats (“LJPT”, “LJPTFitnessRetreats”, “Us”, “We”, “Our” “I”). Please read fully and carefully before you book.


1. Contract

A binding contract between LJPT and you is only formed when I issue booking confirmation to you by email which I will do after receiving payment from you by bank transfer, in cleared funds, of either the stated required deposit or the full price of your chosen retreat (payment amount dependant on when booking is made in relation to date of retreat).

If you have not received your confirmation email within 7 days of making the booking please contact me. It is very important you check your booking confirmation to ensure all the details are correct.

2. Payments and Deposit

Payments are to be made via bank transfer, or cash if arranged between me and you. As part of your booking you are also required to complete and sign a Fitness Retreat Booking Form, Personal Information Form and Health Questionnaire Form. These forms must be completed a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the retreat start date. The deposit amount and suggested payment plan (including minimum monthly payment amount) will be outlined for you upon booking completion. Cancellation of the retreat, by you, within 20 weeks of retreat commence date will require 100% of total retreat cost to be paid by given payment deadline.

If the balance is not made in time, we reserve the right to cancel your space on the retreat and retain the payment received. The whole retreat fee is required to secure your place.

LJPT Fitness Retreats reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion and we will refund any deposit payment made.


3. Price

All prices published in any marketing material or on our website are for guidance only. In exceptional circumstances the prices may change and errors do very occasionally occur. The price of your retreat may vary due to unforeseen changes, however I will try my very best to avoid this. We reserve the right to alter or correct errors in any quoted or published prices at any time prior to the booking being confirmed. Once booking is confirmed, the price cannot be changed.


4. Retreat Duration and Programme

You must arrive on day one of the retreat at the specified time unless otherwise agreed. You cannot leave during the retreat and then return unless agreed between myself and you in advance.

Please note it is your responsibility to arrange your travel at your own expense to the location of the retreat, unless otherwise stated.
I publish an example itinerary and description of the retreats on the LJPT website and in Retreat Information Pack in order to best explain the daily outline of sessions, training and the demands the retreats will impose. It is unlikely that any retreat will follow that example itinerary exactly as published but it will give you an insight into your chosen retreat. Several factors will depend on the specific itinerary on your retreat, including weather conditions, physical fitness of the retreat participants and available timings of activities. I will construct the best possible programme for the retreat but will review and possibly alter the itinerary in response to these factors throughout.

I will do my utmost to ensure that any arising problems are solved for the benefit of the majority of retreat participants as a whole. Signing the Fitness Retreat Booking Form form signifies you accept me having authority to make such decisions about the retreat and/or training affecting the group or individuals.


5. Damage, Loss and Theft

You are responsible for any damage you may cause to the contents and furnishings of the accommodation during your stay and you will be required to pay reasonable compensation for any such damage caused.

I accept no responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of any personal possessions while on the retreat. You are advised to ensure that you are adequately insured against these events and insured suitably for the retreat you are booking (for example, travel insurance if travelling abroad).


6. Changes and Cancellations by you

After confirmation of your retreat, your space is non refundable and non transferable, to any other person or on to any other retreats.

All deposit payments are non refundable and non transferable under any circumstances. Cancellation of the retreat within 20 weeks of departure date requires full payment of retreat to be paid by the payment deadline stated.


7. Travel Insurance

If travelling on a retreat abroad, LJPT strongly recommends you take out adequate travel insurance. Comprehensive travel insurance with personal injury cover is recommended. It is your responsibility to ensure you are adequately covered by insurance. Please bring your policy with you on your retreat in the event of needing to make a claim. LJPT cannot be held responsible for any liability, losses, or expenses you may incur.


8. Cancellation by LJPT

Every effort is made to ensure no cancellation occurs but I reserve the right to do so in any circumstance, up to 2 weeks before the date of departure. For example, if the minimum number of guests required for a particular retreat is not reached, LJPT may have to cancel the retreat. In this event I will inform you as soon as practical and you will have the choice to either a full refund of all monies paid or accepting an alternative retreat date of comparable standard if available (with pro-rata refund/price increases as appropriate).

LJPT will not cancel your retreat within 2 weeks of departure date unless either compelled to do so by reasons of force majeure or if you have not paid the final balance of your course.


9. Changes by LJPT

LJPT reserves the right to make minor adjustments to your retreat. For example, a change of training facility or itinerary, without notification. However every effort will be made to ensure you are notified of any such changes. LJPT is not obliged to pay you any compensation for such changes.


10. Force Majeure

LJPT cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented of affected, or you otherwise suffer any loss, injury, death, inconvenience or damage as a result of circumstances amounting to ‘force majeure’. In these terms and conditions ‘force majeure’ means any event or circumstances which LJPT or the booked venues in question could not foresee or avoid. Such events and circumstances may include, actual or threatened, war, insurrection, riots, strikes, civil action, decisions by governments or governing authority, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes of schedules or operational decisions of air carriers, terrorist activity or the threat thereof, industrial action, natural or nuclear activity, epidemics/pandemics or the threat thereof, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside of our control.


11. Misconduct

If, under any circumstances, the operator of LJPT Fitness Retreats deems anyone taking part to be behaving in a inappropriate or disruptive manner (this includes alcohol or drug related issues) then they reserve the right to remove a person(s) from the retreat entirely, including removal from accommodation and cancellation of any return flights, without responsibility and without incurring any costs or compensation.


12. Acceptance with Authority

LJPT will do it’s best to resolve problems to the benefit of you and the rest of retreat participants as a whole. You must refrain from any conduct, which may give offence or cause danger or damage to any person or property. If I, or any facility used on the retreat believe that you are in breach of this obligation, likely to breach it, or is otherwise unfit to take part in any activity, we may in our discretion refuse or cancel your booking or have you removed from any retreat or facility. We will owe you no liability in such circumstances and you will be solely responsible for any costs incurred.


13. Personal Health

Accepted with the disclosed Personal Information Form and Health Questionnaire Form, you confirm that you are in good mental and physical health and are unaware of any reason why you may be particularly unsuited or unfit to take part in any aspect of the fitness retreat or likely to suffer illness or injury during the activity.

Failure to enclose any information, or falsely complete, the Personal Information Form or Health Questionnaire Form, may result in LJPT terminating the contract and withdrawing you from the activity and/or retreat on the grounds of incorrect information. You will not be entitled to any refund or payments if the contract is terminated in this way.


14. Extra Activities

If you wish to book any extra activity, please be aware that LJPT cannot accept any responsibility for any damages, whether it be financial, physical or otherwise, incurred in the undertaking of these activities. Contractual obligations lies directly between yourself and the activity supplier.


15. Complaints

If you have a problem during any activity or period during the retreat you must report it to me immediately. In the unlikely event that the problem can’t be resolved promptly and you wish to raise a complaint, you must send full written details to LJPT by email within 28 days of the end of the retreat. Please include your retreat details and your full complaint in the email. Failure to take these steps will prejudice my ability to resolve your problem and/or investigate it fully. Therefore any right to compensation you may otherwise have had will be lost or substantially reduced.


16. Conditions of Service

The contract between LJPT and yourself, is made subject to these terms and conditions which are governed by the laws of England and Wales. By submitting your booking form you agree to wholly adhere to these terms and conditions. The Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any matters arising out of this Agreement.
